Review:

The Citizen Quartz Day Date is a dress watch that pays homage and has some similarities to the Rolex Datejust. The Citizen has a 36mm case diameter, a case thickness of 8mm, and a band width of 18mm. The watch is light, thin and accurate due to its quartz movement. The watch also has a day and date complication at the 3 O'clock position, which can be changed by using the crown on the right-hand side of the watch.

The gold tone jubilee band that the watch comes with is light and may feel a bit flimsy to some, but it is comfortable. Due to the gold tone plating of the watch, it is vulnerable to scratches in which the gold plating may begin to come off; however, the watch in this review has gone years without plating wearing off.

While the watch may be "small" by today's standards, it still maintains a classic look with its fluted bezel and clean design. Though it pays homage to the Rolex Datejust, it has enough differences to allow it to stand as an impressive watch on its own. It can be worn formally or casually, and while the gold tone may be too gaudy for some, it can be paired with a leather strap for a more toned-down look.

For the aforementioned reasons, the Citizen Quartz Day Date is recommended by Lion Stationers. It can be purchased from the following vendors:
