Product:
The Platinum Plaisir shares the same nib as the less expensive Platinum Preppy, but unlike the Preppy the Plaisir has a metal body. The specifications of the Platinum Plaisir are as follows:
Review:
While the similarities in nib and feed with the Platinum Preppy will cause some to question the Plaisir's price point, there are other differences in the pen's designs to consider. The Plaisir has a fully aluminum body and cap; the body feels smooth and lends weight to the Plaisir that the Preppy lacks, and the the cap's construction allows (per Platinum) for the nib to avoid dryness even after months of non-use. In our experience this was the case - all of the pens worked consistently even after months of non-use. The clip of the pen is sturdy and able to hold on to most fabrics. Because of the pen's overall construction, versatility as an occasional or everyday carry item, and its price point, the Platinum Plaisir is recommended by Lion Stationers.
