Kaweco is a German pen manufacturer based in Heidelberg, Germany, that was founded in 1883. It declared bankruptcy in 1929 and was taken over by Badischen Fullfederfabrik Worrigen und Grube. It ceased production in 1970, re-opened in 1972, and closed again closed in 1981. However in 1995 h & m gutberlet GmbH acquird the rights to the Kaweco name and Kaweco pens resumed production.

The Kaweco Ice Sport is an eyedropper convertible fountain pen that has a small and convenient size for everyday use. It has a smooth and reliable nib; the one on this pen is a German/Western fine nib, which would be slightly equivalent to a Japanese/Asian medium nib. While the pen itself does have a particular plastic feel, it also feels lightweight and durable, even when filled as an eyedropper converted pen (as the pen in this example is).
